Our Year 7 male athletes are on their way to Alexander stadium for the Sainsbury’s School Games final on the 25th June after they won their area finals last week.

Our boys came top of their group at an athletics competition held at King’s Norton Boys’ School on Thursday 4 June. Our team earned a total of 486 points, 9 points higher than second place Queensbridge School. As well as a strong team performance, individual athletes also enjoyed success, with Efe winning first prize in the long jump event.

The team will now have the chance to represent ARK Kings in at the Sainsbury’s School Games athletics final at the Alexander stadium on 25 June. At the final, our athletes will compete against the winners from the other area finals which have been held throughout the city.

The School Games programme is a celebration of competitive school sport and culture by creating a year-round calendar of competition for all young people in years 3 to 13 across the city that will inspire them to get involved in competitive school sport.
