We are sorry to announce that the French trip for Year 7 students that was scheduled for this Tuesday and Wednesday has been cancelled due to the series of ongoing strikes in France affecting the ferry and Eurotunnel services. As a result of the uncertainty surrounding these strikes, the academy, in consultation with the Travel Company, has taken the decision to postpone the trip until September.

There will be no additional costs for you and the itinerary will stay exactly the same. Passport photos and health insurance cards will also still be valid. However, if you are going away over the Summer, we will return your EHIC cards to you.

This is a very unfortunate set of circumstances but I am sure that you agree that the safety and wellbeing of all students must be our priority. We are confident that in September, students will have exactly the same experience but without any risks to their health and safety.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Parents of students affected by the cancellation will have received a letter home notifying them of the cancellation. If you have any other questions or concerns, please contact the academy.
