WMP Christmas surprise for our young superstar volunteer

West Midlands Police has delivered an early Christmas surprise to a “superstar" Birmingham schoolboy as thanks for his selfless community volunteering.

Oliver Hall is only 12 but regularly helps out at Druids Heath community centre − which provides support to local families and children − and the Spearhead Trust charity that runs youth activities from the Bells Farm base.

The centre is a vital hub of the community. Managers Sid and Dot run free breakfast clubs and OAP lunches, a food bank, a youth club, host regular neighbourhood police meetings, and offer help to access housing, education, training and social services.
