Key Stage 4 Outcomes
In 2019 our estimated progress score was -0.03 which represents good progress nationally.Our Attainment 8 (A8) score was 43. This means that on average students at Ark Kings achieved between a grade 4 and grade 5 in their GCSEs. A grade 4 is a pass grade, equivalent to the old C grade, and a grade 5 is the equivalent of a high C and is regarded as a ‘good pass’. At the end of KS4 65% of our cohort achieved a grade of 4 or higher in both Maths and English. 37% of the cohort achieved a grade of 5 or higher in both Maths and English. Both of these figures represent a significant increase from last year’s results which were 58% and 28% respectively. 57% of students also achieved 5 or more GCSEs at grade 4 or above, giving them the breadth of qualifications needed for further study.
17% of students achieved the EBacc qualification, with an average point score for EBacc at 38. The EBacc suite of subjects includes English, Maths, Science, Humanities and Languages.
100% of our year 11 leavers have gone on to further education, training or into employment.
