At Ark Kings Academy, we are determined that every pupil has the opportunity to thrive in life, education and future employment. Central to this commitment is our strong belief in developing leadership skills, confidence and responsibility in all our pupils.
We offer a wide range of pupil leadership opportunities across all year groups, allowing students to take on meaningful roles that reflect their interests, strengths and ambitions. Leadership roles at Ark Kings Academy include:
- Subject Ambassadors
- Reading Ambassadors
- Form Leaders
- Deputy Year Leaders
- Year Leaders
- Prefects (KS4)
- Deputy Head Pupils (KS4)
- Head Pupils.(KS4)
Pupils in leadership roles take on additional responsibilities around the academy and play an active role in shaping school life. They gather and represent pupil voice, listening to the views of their peers about what they would like to see change or develop within the school, and work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to help bring these ideas to life.
Our pupil leaders are heavily involved in organising and leading a wide range of activities, from assemblies and charity fundraising events to equality and diversity celebrations and the Year 11 Prom. Through these experiences, pupils develop teamwork, communication and organisational skills that prepare them for future success.
Pupil leaders are also proud ambassadors for Ark Kings Academy. They regularly welcome visitors to the academy, conduct site tours, and take part in pupil panels and discussion forums. In addition, they represent the academy at external events, trips and visits, showcasing our values and high expectations to the wider community.
Through our extensive pupil leadership programme, Ark Kings Academy empowers young people to develop confidence, character and leadership skills that will support them throughout their education and beyond.
