I am delighted to welcome you to Ark Kings Academy. As Head of School for the Primary Phase, I am proud of the hard work we put in to prepare every child academically and socially for the next phase in their education journey.

The Primary Phase begins in Nursery and continues into Reception, where we take in 30 pupils each year. All pupils in Year 6 receive an automatic place in Year 7 of our Secondary Phase. We are incredibly proud of the start we give our pupils in the Early Years and Primary Phase, laying the foundations for the educational journey they will continue through to Year 11. As pupils move through their primary years, they engage in a rich and diverse curriculum where they develop the core knowledge and skills they need in each subject discipline.

Our school values are: 'Wisdom. Resilience. Kindness.’ These values permeate all we do in school with pupils, parents, staff and the wider community. We pride ourselves on knowing every child in our care and our curriculum is planned, sequenced and delivered with our pupils at its heart. We enhance our curriculum with a wide range of enrichment and extra-curricular opportunities, such as theatre and museum visits, Geography fieldwork, trips to places of cultural and religious significance, forest school activities, sporting events, workshops and speakers in school. We welcome our parents into school to engage with their child's learning through a variety of workshops, curriculum showcase assemblies and charity fundraising events. All pupils are assigned local and national charities to support.
