Our aims

At Ark Kings Academy, our Mathematics curriculum strives towards the following aims:

  1. Pupils become proficient mathematicians that are fluent in the fundamentals of mathematics and reason mathematically
  2. Pupils solve problems by applying their mathematics

By achieving these aims, our pupils experience how Maths is a creative and highly inter-connected discipline that has been developed over centuries, providing the solution to some of history’s most intriguing problems. They also understand that Maths is essential to everyday life, critical to science, technology and engineering, and necessary for financial literacy and most forms of employment.
