Introduction
At Ark Kings, our vision for pupils is that:
Every individual will develop the character to thrive in life, education and employment.
We know that for pupils to be successful in life, education and employment, the work they do outside of school is crucial, so their ambitions and dreams can become a reality. It is for this reason that we are launching these expectations for study for our pupils. Given the current climate and the effects of the pandemic, we know that studying outside of school is even more important.
We expect the following from pupils:
- Pupils should read for 20 minutes every night.
- Pupils should follow the study timetable below and complete their studies as directed by their class teachers.
- Pupils will complete their work online, using Sparx, Seneca, LanguageNut or Microsoft Assignments in Microsoft Teams.

Online Apps
Laptops, Wi-fi and Study Club
We have distributed over 500 laptops to pupils in the Secondary Phase of Ark Kings. These laptops are loans to help pupils have reliable access to study resources. If your child has not collected a device, they are still available, so please email o.dempster@arkkingsacademy.org or the relevant Culture & Ethos Lead to arrange collection. If you are having issues accessing the internet we offer a Study Club night every week where pupils can complete work. The Study club runs in the Library every day from 3:15 pm - 4:15 pm, except for Fridays when it runs from 2:20 pm - 3:20 pm.
